What makes the price exorbitant is the fact that only 12 bottles of Penfolds Ampoule are produced worldwide. The bottle is also crowd-shaped and made of glass designed by Australian glass artist Nick Mount.

Interestingly, this bottle does not have a stopper like most wine bottles so it can only be opened by a professional wine expert.

In fact, the Penfolds boss said a wine expert at his company would contact any wine buyer if they needed help opening a bottle.

5. Armand de Brignac Midas

The second most expensive alcoholic drink in the world is the Armand de Brignac Midas brand which is sold for around US$215,000 or Rp. 3.3 billion for a 30 liter bottle.
